Single Source Responsibility

M&G Steel provides complete drafting, fabrication and erection services to best fulfill your critical needs with single source responsibility. One-stop-shopping means that your steel building can be realized from concept to full implementation with the need to only speak to one person at M&G. Less co-ordination of resources by the client results in improved time efficiency.

Capacity

M&G Steel operates out of a modern facility located in Oakville: a 30 000 square foot plant that holds 4 10-ton overhead cranes and 6 2-ton gantry wall cranes. We employ a total of 25 shop tradesmen, including CWB certified welders, experienced fitters, machine operators and painters.  Our equipment includes a CNC Python 5-axis robot , a CNC Plate Burning / Punching table and a CNC Angle-Master Punch Line.

Estimates

M&G is glad to provide firm lump sum or unit price quotations based upon your drawings. With over 100 man-years of structural steel experience, if we haven’t already seen it, we have the ability to analyze it and respond in short order.

Design Build

A growing portion of our business revolves around being able and confident to commit to projects based upon preliminary "square foot" information. Our in-house engineering and drafting group can assist in realizing your concept before you employ all the various consultants.

Drafting

M&G Steel utilizes cutting edge detailing software to provide accurate Erection Diagrams and Shop Details.

A complete 3D model of each project is created using SDS/2, every member is modeled and any potential interferences are resolved prior to reaching the field.  The files required to run the modern shop equipment are extracted from this model and transferred to the shop.

Fabrication

M&G is capable of producing in excess of 150-200 Tons per week of custom fabricated steel. We specialize in the unique and "messy" projects which require a greater degree of TLC.

Erection

M&G has forged several strategic alliances with local steel erectors to provide competent and available installation resources for labour and equipment. We service what we sell.

With the addition of Domenic Cherubin to our staff we now have the capability of producing in-house estimates and erection schemes for the most difficult erection projects.
